5 Ways To Increase Cash Inflow Without Outflow
Jun 26, 2020Hello, everyone.
Does ”selling” make you feel awkward, manipulative, and sleazy?
If it does, then maybe it’s time to change your mindset about it. Think of sales as a medium for serving the community. We are in the post-COVID era and the community needs your services now more than ever. If you ever find yourself having negative feelings about sales, just remember that you are offering people an improved quality of life.
So why don’t we turn that fear and awkwardness into something profitable and powerful? Today, I’d like to share 5 ways to make sales-- the kind that you enjoy and builds long-lasting relationships with your dream clients-- without breaking the bank:
1. Write a blog. 📝
Write a short piece or make a video blog about ‘no equipment Pilates workout that you can do at home’ or ‘10 best yoga poses for flexibility’ and put it on your website. Make sure you use key terms so that people can easily find them with a quick Google search. Once they come into your blog, they’ll explore your website and see the variety of services that you offer. Then you can lead them to a landing page about how Pilates can relieve back pain or you can capture them for retargeting ads later on.
If writing isn’t your strongest suit or if you don’t have the time for it, you can ask a member of your staff who likes writing and it can be a nice little side-project for them!
You don’t have to write a novel-length blog or make a 30-minute video-- just keep it short, sweet, and engaging to draw in readers or viewers who could be your new clients.
2. Do a virtual workshop. 💻
Have any webinar or online workshop ideas that you’ve been planning to launch? This is the perfect time to do it! Send an email to your list, promote it on all of your social media accounts, and get people to sign up for free. Create more traffic to your website by having a CTA at the end of your post.
“Christa, how will it create sales if it’s for free?”
When they register for your free online class, you can gather their email and start engaging with them. Let them know about your other amazing services and invite them to your new programs! Start creating relationships with your prospective clients so they will know who to call when they are in need of your services.
3. Take over another company’s Instagram page for a day. 🤳
Collaborate with your local food delivery service, athletic clothing store, or any like-minded business and propose a barter where you can exchange Instagram pages for a day.
This is a fun way to introduce yourself to a new network of prospective clients. Post creative Instagram Stories and take advantage of the geotagging feature to promote your company’s Instagram page. Introduce yourself and your business, your niche, and how you serve the community. Ask your collaborator’s followers to follow you so they can keep updated with your own products and services. And who knows? Maybe you can share mutually-exclusive clients later on.
Make sure to post content that will speak to the clientele of that shop’s page, but more importantly, make your presence known within their online community!
4. Pitch yourself to a podcast. 🎧
If speaking is one of your sales superpowers, then you’re in luck because there are countless health and wellness podcasts that cater to everyone’s needs. You have podcasts that focus on healthy diets, better mental health, body confidence, breastfeeding, and many more. Choose a podcast that best matches your clientele, reach out to them, and say you’d love to be their guest.
If you’re trying to boost sales for your physical therapy company, then you can choose a podcast run by the gym down the street or a chiropractor expert. Again, introduce yourself and your business, your niche, and how you serve the community.
Some listeners might be in need of your service one day and this is the perfect time to get them to know you.
Even if speaking isn’t your forte, challenge yourself to step out of your comfort zone. Put yourself out there and drive more revenue to your business by talking about your life’s work!
5. Send an email to your list. 📨
Lastly, send an email to your list including the ones you’ve gathered from your latest webinar registration. Inform your clients about your new programs or live classes. Reach out to the ones who haven’t attended classes in a while and invite them to attend your virtual sessions. Let them know that they can still use your services even if they still don’t want to leave the comforts of their own home.
By re-engaging with your clients, you strengthen your relationship with them. They will know where and how to find you, which in turn will result in better customer retention and bring more profit to your business in the long run.
Sales is all about building good relationships with people. It’s about making yourself visible to the community and getting your customers to know, like, and trust you. The more you engage with your clients, the easier it will be to sell your products and services.
These are the 5 cost-free ways to make sales that I wanted to share with you. I hope you find them useful and help bring more profit to your business.
